well, it's been 7 weeks now since I sent my transfer request to Icesave. To be fair, they say on the phone that my account has been open 2 weeks ago and the money is on it, but I still haven't received my "welcome pack" containing my user name to access my account online and pay in the money which has been sitting on my current account all this time, despite me calling them several times to complain. One of the reason for switching to Icesave was the fact that it would be easier and fastest to transfer money online! Not impressed and already looking at transferring elsewhere.....

Similar story for my Halifax --> Icesave.

My problem turned out to be that Halifax didn't update my address on their system when I moved house. I had sent them a letter but they now say they only accept me taking proof into a branch.

So, my ISA is now in limbo until I can get to a Halifax branch.

And after going to a Halifax branch, having my address changed and then informing Icesave to transfer again......

Still £0 balance in both accounts.

Icesave say they have a cheque for the right amount, but won't do anything until I write a letter to them confirming my address.

Why didn't they ask for that two weeks ago when I asked on the phone?

I'm not feeling so comfortable with Icesave now.....hopefully all will be fine though!
