Does anyone know how to get a lid off of the top of a fountain pen? I bought a new fountain pen today and the lid was already on the top of it (so the pen nib was showing and the lid was on the actual top of the pen) and I can't get it off. It's like it's stuck. It's made of plastic. I was wondering if butter might loosen it?

Does it screw off? or use rubber gloves if it doesn'tAn average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

Blimey, I would be scared if kids climbed over my fence - kids can be scary, they need more discipline and know boundaries. Too many are left to run riot these days and are unpredictable. Even my son notices how much the youngsters get away with things and how annoying they can be.
I used to get a row if I even accidentally strayed into a neighbour's garden without asking.
My bike was in my back garden (I don't have a shed) and I have this big padlock on the tall gate and when I checked the other day my bike had been stolen. The big padlock has gone too. I've told the council numerous amounts of times that my big gate isn't secure. It's secure enough not to fly open with gale force winds etc. but that's only because my ex fixed a new lock on it. The gate is too small for the gap and is wonky. The kids just climb over the fence and the fence is about 7 feet tall. The council won't do anything.
When I was younger we would never have dreamt of trespassing onto anyone else's property. A lot of kids have lost respect for other people and their property nowadays.

LadyMorticia wrote: »Wow. Was she scared of anything else?.lol. Sounds like she's a person who gets scared easily and takes it all out of context.
If I were there I would have laughed too.lol. In this world you have to have a sense of humour. Can't be serious all the time and you have to laugh at yourself sometimes too.
Yeah, she was scared of everything. She'd had a lot of bad stuff happen to her, but she'd never been attacked by zombies so I'm not quite sure where that particular fear came from. She was just mental. And not the type of person who'd laugh about it afterwards, because she genuinely believed that zombies either exist, or would exist one day.I had a boyfriend who I used to split up with occasionally but it was mainly because he has a very bad temper and his anger used to scare me but I always took him back because he apologised. Surprisingly he's one of my best friends. I think there's some people you're just better off being friends with.
I'm friends, to an extent, with most of my exes but this one hurt me pretty badly so that's a no-go. I couldn't do it. I had a half-panic attack when I was walking along her street once, in case I bumped into her. I had to go a ludicrously long way around, because I couldn't face seeing her.Liquid meds are horrible. I used to have a lot of problems swallowing tablets which is why I was give liquid instead. I don't have any problems swallowing pills now though. The only liquid form of medicine I don't mind taking is calpol or child nurofen. I know it's kiddie medicine but it tastes so good.
I'm a sucker for Buttercup cough syrup.Sometimes it's easy to forget to take meds when we're busy or not feeling too good. I always set a special alarm now just incase I forget.
Part of the problem is that I can't, no matter how hard I try, keep to any kind of sleep pattern. I'd probably not be awake, or wakeable, when the alarm went off. I'll just have to try harder to take the pills I guess.Don't worry. I procrastinate too.Mostly with the housework though or replying to emails. Only emails from people I don't particularly want to talk to at that time though e.g. people you think are your friends and then go and spread rumours about you. I don't have the heart to "cut them off" though.
I'm bad at doing stuff that NEEDS to be done, really important stuff. I'm always worried it'll be too much hassle and I won't be able to handle the !!!!!!!!, but usually when I get around to it it's pretty painless.
If people are treating you badly, tell them to GTF. There's enough crap in life without people being !!!!!! friends.I know what you mean with prices coming down. At least if you do save up the £350 and the price drops you have a bit extra left over to either buy some accessories for the camera or buy yourself something nice.
Do you know a lot about cameras? I have a few questions but I'm not sure who to ask.
Yeah, I'll probably be able to answer your questions. I'll give it a shot.I really love your photos. I love them all but especially the balloons one.Are you a member of deviantart? I have an account and post my poetry and photography there.
Yeah, I've got a DA. I rarely use it these days (since there's nothing new to upload to it) but it's here.Don't be hard on yourself about hardly touching your camera. I've had many phases like that. Just take it slow until you get into the frame of mind to do it again.
I did do some creative stuff today, so it's not too bad I guess.Sorry it has taken me a while to reply. I only just got home.
Again with the apologising.I think kids are in my back garden. They're scaring me.I thought a massive fence was supposed to be a deterrent.
To half the feral little !!!!ers round here the only deterrents would be landmines and bear traps.slowlyfading wrote: »:hello: everyone. Glad I could be of assistance - sounds like it got pushed right down. Even my OH with a grip like a vice has to use a rubber glove to get things off.
Have a great evening
Thanks for the add on Facebook:)An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

Bit insomniac this week but writing it down has helped no end. Had a better evening with OH.
Saw the results of American Idol - Chekizzi (sp) rocked and love Amanda the rock chick (my alter ego):D
The country version of 8 Days a Week was odd. Brooke looks like Lena Zavaroni. The Aussie bloke is hot and the Irish woman is good.
I do love the American's sense of energy and positivity that the UK sometimes lacks. An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:
