It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice! (Scooter moment!
)
Really enjoying Scooter's new song 'The question is what is the question'Enough from me, if you've got this far, you deserve a salmon.
Yeah, but how much is it? :T
I listen to mostly metal, but I LOVE the Our Happy Hardcore album. Not too keen on most of his other stuff mind you.They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -

I'm just not the person i used to be. I've always had depression took pills for the last 10years or so. But before I've still managed to have a job, my house was kept organised, tidy and very clean but over the last 2 years I do nothing except the school run then back to bed.
It just kinda sneaks up on you. A very gradual thing. Are you still on the meds? If so, how long have you been on your current dosage? Are you getting any help other than that?They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
Hey everyone
Hope you all had a good day.
Now for the most important questions: Where is Rose07 and Tulip, why did you throw that popcorn away ?0 -
I've been on current medication for 6years, dosage still same, 3 a day. I don't see a counsellor or doctor anymore, I have done in past but I'm not sure that would help this time.0

First things first get to the doc and see about getting the dosage upped, or trying something else. I'm surprised you've been on the same dosage (or even the same meds) for so long, especially if they're not helping now. The chances are you're on the lowest dosage too.
Oh, and when I started having to see the doctor, I didn't care who they gave me when I made appointments. Bad idea. Once you get an appointment with a doctor who actually listens and seems sympathetic to mental health issues and knows the score, make sure you get appointments with them in future. They'll be able to judge your progress a lot better, and be able to tell if you're up or down from the last time they saw you. It helps if the doctor's pretty too...
I know what you mean about not being sure if it'll help, but anything's worth a bash, right? Hell, I'd start eating brussels sprouts if I thought it'd help, and I bloody DETEST the things.My rabbit likes them, and he's welcome to them. :rotfl:
There are loads of things they can try like one on one counselling, group things, CBT (which means a completely different thing to sadomasochists, so be careful!), all that jazz. Best to get onto the doc asap because the waiting lists can be hellish. If you decide nearer the time you don't want to go, then you can phone and cancel but being on the waiting list does no harm.They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -

hiya, we're not really suppposed to discuss meds here, but perhaps it might be worthwhile having a chat with your doctor, review your current treatment and see if there might be another option for you to try. just a thought hun x

I agree hun. I have seen so many different doctors for my mental health and all of them told me different things. I now have an absolutely fantastic doctor and I only make appointments with her as she understands me better than any doctor I have ever seen and is willing to listen to my concerns and doesn't just say "Come back in two months" like a lot of doctors have said to me before.
Just having an understanding doctor can make a world of difference. Oh, and Gary, she's very pretty too.lol.
