Hi,
Can I join this thread as well please? Got my first counceling session today and was so upset afterwards that went to the shop and bought bag of donughts, 8 down 2 to go. Next week need to remember to leave purse home. I am only going to get 6 sessions in total and am wondering if it only is going to srcatch the surface. Are there any other free counceling options on offer except through GP surgeries?

Good to see a new thread - coincides with my new beginning:)
1. 3 airports nearby (Bournemouth, Southampton,Gatwick) for ease of escape from UK
2. Bournemouth has officially the best weather in the UK - enjoys a double Gulf Stream effect (bounced off Isle of Wight)
3. It is quite posh eg nearby Sandbanks home to the stars eg Bruce Forsyth
4.Bournemouth has palm trees and topless sunbathing ooh la la........
5. Loadsa jobs ...if you want....
6.I live closeSurrey/Hants
Have you considered self-move? The MSE way? In 1998, I hired a large transit, moved us from Glasgow to Camberley (Surrey) in 1 day. What a drive, not even time to defrost the freezer....
Sounds like you are only just starting to change your life for the better.
It can be done indeed.
Be encouraged everyone!

Hi Marru  welcome to the thread. I know exactly what you mean about the doughnutsI find counselling quite tough at times too. But for me I feel it is worth it, it is definitely working. Everyone is different, but I have been going just over a year, and even after that time I feel I am just scratching the surface!
I think it is possible to get counselling at some places on a means-tested basis. Perhaps you could ask your GP about this, or ask your local branch of MIND?
Much love, and thanks for posting,

Hi saz I'm ok-a little grumpy because I've been so bored all day. OH has forgotten to phone me back, so hes in for it tomorrow. I'm not feeling cruel enough to ring him and wake him up!
How are you? Still enjoying your time off?

I'm pretty good thanks, if a little tired... but in a good way. You know, I feel like a completely different person when I've had some time of work lol!! Almost semi human... well ok, not quite:o:D
I think you should call OH, but then I'm mischievous like that!;):D
