1p extreme buyer

Take a look at this guy . What is he up to ? Do I detect some sorta scam here ? He bought an item from me which happened to sell for 1 pence with FREE postage (not a good deal for me  ) and began to hassle me for + feedback which startled me a little but when I check his hisatory EVERY auction he`s won recently is 1 pence . . . . .strange or what.

If he`s only after a high feedback surely he`ll realise people can see he`s scamming . . . . . or is he ?

looks like he is trying to build up feedback for his own benefit or is getting ready for a big hit.

To be honest there isn't really anything you can do.

If the person has bought the item, paid for it etc and the transaction has had no problems then why not leave feedback....

Although it is slightly suspicious.....if I were you I'd wait until they leave feedback for you and then leave say a neutral one....saying your thoughts on the buyer...

you cant leave neutral fb how can you? he bought and paid for an item from you, you have no problems with him, in your opinion this is suspicious but you have no proof...innocent until proven guilty etc, if you leave adverse comments he could report you for malicious feedback

Had a look through the 1p auctions this guy had bought and found this one:

    Now look at the purchases:

BTW having indentified your sale, surprised you offerred free PP on an item like that

  • Heck no , we all know you can`t make money with 1p sales and free postage but the idea is to generate interest and hopefully get higher bids for your item . Recently a few of mine have actually only sold for 1p tho !

Doesn`t make for a good sale but if I`m only clearing out old junk I sometimes try it

Not sure if I will leave feedback or not due to the fact that he actually Emailed me within minutes of winning item demanding positive feedback . Not an Ebay friendly way of doing things , IMO

  • One of those who've bought feedback from him is estatesalesamerica. estatesalesamerica is no longer a registered user because she had false details on her ebay contact form. Secondly, she was falsely and purposely selling gold plated jewellery as real gold. If you check her feedback, you'll see she had LOADS of negs in the last few months (including one from me.) ;)

Feedback is optional so you have no need to leave feedback at all. We could speculate all day why he is buying feedback but thats what some people do and 1p sales make it easy for them. So if you are not comfortable with the sellers attitude you could just say nothing at all. Very much doubt he is going to neg you. Loads of people do not leave feedback anyway.
