Dilemma over a 'new seller'
Comments

No way! As a seller, a lot of the time I've had 1p starting bids (to attract buyers) and sometimes they didn't get much interest and sold for 1p! I still sent the items out, in keeping with Ebay's policy ... I wouldn't dare to ask for more money - that totally defeats the point of Ebay. report them, if they chose not to use the sight properly then that's their fault not yours. I have often had to sell things for less than I would like & prob not made any money item or at worse lost a few pence but I have still sent item as that's an agreement i have made by offering item at a low start price.
be careful you don't get ripped off, if you send extra money outside of paypal/ebay transaction you will not be covered paypal protection etc if item is faulty/not received etc etcWho says I have to be normal?

I think I'll have to, but it's not something that I'm relishing. I can't help thinking that if they've got the gumption to work out how to sell, (unlike me lol) then they should be savvy enough about listing it properly.
Thanks candyflossing

Thanks for the reply Pennywise
I'd never send extra money - I'm too tight lol
No, but seriously, I know ebay gets a bad rap from some people, and probably because of people like the seller I've had a problem with.
I know there's a cut off date for reporting etc, and I'm tempted to see if the item gets relisted, but with my memory I'd probably forget

it is naughty and i had a similar-well worse experience years ago-i bid for a single bed about 8 miles from where i live-collection only!! starting bid was 1p and lo and behold i won it for the 1p so e mailed to arrange collection and cash on delivery!!!!!!!!!!!
no return e mail etc but that night the seller TURNED UP ON MY DOORSTEP asking for £40 becuase thats the minimum they wanted!!!!!!!!
i was horrified and politiley declined---her parting shot was-'you wont leave a negative will you?'
i didnt as she knew where i lived!! but i e mailed e bay to ask what the protocol was and they were, shall we say less than useful!! shall we say it was a lesson learnt!!!
in your case do what makes you feel right-they are well out of order!even god cant change the past-no matter how many times i cryfor levi, leo, smudge and arfa:A my angels0 -

Update
They did relist it as I thought they might, for approximately 3 times what I won the item for, and I subsequently reported the seller, and left them a negative.
I have to say that it was my first time ever, and I felt like the pits afterwards. I'm not sure what eBay will do, and maybe I shouldn't be bothered
but I know for a fact that some of you sellers have received negatives for a lot less.
Thanks for all your advice and posts, and good luck with your selling xOh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. ~ Sir Walter Scott0
