No, I have lots of books to sell but never thought of Amazon. I will look into it and give it a go. Thanks.0

Are there any second hand bookshops near you that buy unwanted books? I have done this before for some quick cash. The prices vary depending on the shop and the books you are selling but might be worth considering.0

There is but once I left books there he told me he had no cash (£12)but to come back the following week. I did and he had forgotten all about it! I know I was silly in the first place for leaving them but he looked trustworthy. Its the only second hand bookshop about. Mind you I am going next month to a big city (mystery shopping) so ha ha...theres a cunning plan. Oooooh I love this board. Thanks Tre-beam, and this time I will get the money.0

Good luck with raising the cash.
I know how you feel, I am always trying to raise cash for certain payments at short notice (not so much now, trying to be organised!!).
If you have a local freecycle website, try on there for some carboot bits or stuff you can sell in the local paper (but always make sure that the owner knows that you plan on selling them - some people advertise their stuff as carboot bits).
Do you have any DVDs, PC games or CDs that you could sell in a local shop (if you have one)? We have 2 around here that buy used DVDs etc for cash.
If you get really stuck, see if there are any jobs you can do for people in your local neighbourhood (ironing, washing cars, gardening etc). You could quickly put a little advert in a local newsagents or something and see if you get any joy.
Good luck with the carboot, see if there are some around you that open on a Saturday and Sunday and then you could squeeze in 2 before the money is due (try Friday too if that's possible!!).
Hope some of that helps
