need 500 for Thursday

  • Hi there, no chance there BUT havecunning plan to raise £100. Have got a huge amount of stuff to sell on Sunday at a car boot so I am hopeful about next week. Its good in a way being like this because it forces me to sell what is basically no longer any use to me, great for decluttering.
If only I could get rid of all my debts this way. Still, needs must. Have now 4 things listed on ebay, going to loft for more. Still need a miracle for Thursday, there is a small chance someone who owes my self employed husband will pay him. I am a lapsed catholic but I do find myself praying for a miracle (£1000) If I don't come on here again you know I have been it by a big bolt of lightening for being so greedy.
  • lol, i'm sure i'm due to be struck down any day soon then!! :D

trying to rack my brains for a quick cash boost for u. more ebaying sounds great - just don't be tempted to buy more stuff to replace that you've sold!! ;)

bet it's a nightmare getting paid sometimes when u self employed, strangely enough always think it's the biggest companies that are the worst at paying, certainly found it to be true when i had the misfortune to temp in accounts office (never again!), guess it's all about keeping the money in their own accounts and earning interest.
silly question but has ur husband chased up this payment owed?
Who says I have to be normal? :p
  • Yes, so have I.We always get its in the post, or you will have it next week, just do this other job first. I haven't even told him the situation because he will panic then won't be able to work.I have to appear chilled out!!!Still I do mystery shopping, it has kept me going.

    Hi,
This is just a thought but...have you tried any of the free bingo sites? They are quite tedious (unless you love bingo!) but I managed to win over £200. There's no guarantee you will win but the odds are in your favour (there are lots of sites). Any winnings do take a week or so to hit your account but it might help you out somehow.

Don't forget is listing on ebay say you'd prefer postal order (best option for cash) or cheque as it'll take up to 5 days for paypal to clear in your bank account.

Car boot sounds good, best to get there very early for a good spot, take plenty of plastic bags and change, and a flask and butties.

Really wish you the best hun, hope you have stopped stressing so much.

Do you have any change lying about, any bank or post office accounts that you have forgotton about?

What about posting an ad in your local paper for some stuff, this is usually a cash only transaction, people look on fridays for the weekend to collect, maybe this is an option. If it's below a certain amount it's usually free to put an advert in and you can either do it quickly over the phone or online. Sending more luck over to you.

ROBBED THEM LONG AGO - found £5 this morning though, was chuffed!
You are so right about ebay, the fees are even getting worse. You have to be so selective about what you sell.

Thanks for the kind thoughts, I am a bit calmer. 5 year old is home and keeps trying on daft outfits. Its kind of surreal.

have you tried listing books and CDs on Amazon Marketplace...it's not great for raising instant cash but can give you a trickle of funds for clearing some space...
