  • Pigsback are offering 5000 points for opening a Direct Isa with Alliance & Leicester ( rate to May 2009 will include 1.0% bonus - current total gross rate 6.25%)

    see this page:

    http://www.pigsback.com/pages/4/23/126.aspx?pbq=311%2c311%2cVOVSP

They've just added this underneath the link... "Earn 5,000 and 2,000 PiggyPoints for the ISA and eSaver respectively"

I've applied for (and been accepted for) the eSaver, do you think I'd get 5000 points too if I applied for the ISA? (don't have and ISA at the mo)

That's right you click on the link (in theory Pigsback track your click so they know) and sign up on the JF site.

Someone had the same problem on Monday and this worked for them.

If you turn off your internet security (temporarily of course) the link will appear. If it doesn't appear straight away, refresh the page and it should work.

I'm in the same boat my friend applied for an esaver at the end of January and have money in the account now, I can see a fight on our hands:mad:

PB keep moving the goal posts:rolleyes: at the time there was no separate amounts for ISA and Esaver, but as I have received no points as yet I will have to wait and see;) but I am expecting 5,000 for my esaver, weather I get it or not is another question

Thankfully at the time I took this to be sure

Re the A&L offer, I emailed pigsback beforehand and asked for T&Cs, and specifically which account would count to get the points, and I got this reply:

"The offer with Alliance & Leicester is to open a Savings and Investments account via Pigsback.com to be eligible for 5000 PiggyPoints. PiggyPoints will be credited within 6 weeks, but if a transaction is not confirmed as valid in the same month of the transaction this can take longer. You must complete the transaction online from the Money Matters Zone to be eligible for PiggyPoints."

I opened an esaver account and so should get the 5000 points according to this email. Hopefully. But it looks like they've realised that you could open an account for £1 with no further committments and get the 5000 points, which obviously isn't profitable for either pigsback or A&L.

There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word which means more to me than any other. That word is England.
