in short - very short, apologies in advance,
Autism, is a hidden disorder. the child / adult has it for life and look normal, and in many cases appear to act normally,
every person with autism is affected differently...they are all very unique. they have problems with social relationships/understanding/interaction..., behavioural problems, sensory issues - sensitive to touch/light/sound/texture
speech language delays - some will have great speech some none...all find certain areas of speech difficult- cannot understand literal language - its raining cats and dogs - they'd think it was true.
my daughter cannot lie for example. she follows her own strict routine, and has little rituals she likes to go through each day. routine is v important to autistic people.
this is a terrible description...i have never had to explain it before...just live with it.
she sees such detail in things...and points things out to me that i might otherwise not have noticed.- a colour in the sky for example. i would not change a single thing about her. she is wonderful.
for anyone who would actually like an accurate description -
see HERE and
here
Sassi, that was a wonderful, moving description of autism. xxx:A Thank you to all who post xxx :A
