Looks like a good deal to me

  • Look's good, but how do they actually make money by offering deals like these?

.....by not paying out on the cashback agreements! Be careful, I speak from experience.

  • Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Yes be very careful following the claims criteria and make sure you do it to the letter, although this is from e2save part of the car phone warehouse group so should be better than some of the fly by night companies.

Not according to some of the other threads on this board ... . Carphonewarehouse and e2save operate as separate companies (though e2save is owned by CPW, they operate completely different rules for cashback).

However, if you read the deal and understand/follow the rules then you should be able to come through this with all your cashback (remember - if everyone was successful, they couldn't offer these deals as the advertised deal is more than they make in commission from the networks).

  • An opportune moment for the unwary to do some research BEFORE they get themselves into trouble as usual:-

Start with that and then find and read ALL the many E2Save and OSPS (and free Virgin Sim) threads or WATCH OUT!!

Well I've taken the plunge and will have to hope for the best. Thanks mj for the link; v.informative post.

The T&C's look quite clear to me (I'd taken copies and saved the web pages at every step), and I am sure I will be able to adhere to them. I've only done one before and that was a cpw one a couple of years back.

They way I saw it was if the quidco and 1st installment were paid then it would be an expensive phone, each subsequent cashback makes it cheaper, and the final one would mean I'd been paid to take the phone.
