    Here goes. I have changed my car insurance, got rid of 2nd car, (dh changed job and we decided no longer needed it) Changed credit card to 0%. Cut food bill. Checked gas and electric suppliers, joined quidco, lightspeed, toluna, joined a mystery shopper, still waiting for my first shop, Checking online banking, set up second account and using old saving account, for piggy banks. Joined the £10 a day in February and reached my target:j

    I am starting a spending diary in March and I am going to try online Bingo.

    I am off now to put some change in my sweetie jar:D
    My finances are work in progress.
    Normal veiwing will resume shortly

    Still to do: more selling, more making of hm gifts, bank charges :mad: , win the lottery, get a job.

    Debt Busting - finding this site and pulling my head out of the sand, DFW Flylady style (I've done ths twice in the last year, helps to focus the mind... Thanks Tondella x) shopping from a list, meal planning and batch cooking, Cashback sites, daily clicks, shopping around for car ins/home ins/gas and elec etc... DH getting well paid job has been the biggest help - he was a FT student before Sept last year. Am so proud of him xxx

    Still to do - make £10 a day challenge, matched betting, bingo, enquire about loan overpayments

    DFW Status - £9836.87 to go. Started with £17,847.46 back in Jan 07.

    DFW number - Pending

    Debt Busting – Budging right down to the wire, quidco, ebay, pigsback (great for saving up for Xmas pressies), saving up each month for big items like car insurance etc.

    Still to do – pay off the remainder of my personal loan which is now on 0% credit cards, pay off my bed (all included in my in debt amount at the moment)

    Since I last posted as a nerd (about november last year) I've:

    Got rid of my car
    Got rid of my telly
    reduced my weekly grocery shop to £11 (2 cats and me)
    Buy yellow stickered items from tesco on buy one get one free.. lol
    tut at people on the train because i can
    am slowly losing the plot but i'm happy lol
    refusing to take credit cards anywhere, even when i'm dragged shopping with my sister..
    have a fiver in my sewn up front pocket in my coat for 'emergencies'..
    Use soap nuts instead of washing powder..
    Made 18.70 on Pigsback
    Got £8 cashback on a LoveFilm free trial..
    got my electricity bill down to £20 a month...
    Use the net at the library/my parents
    Paid 5,000 off my debts and i'm nearly under 9k... woohooo :T

Doing fantastically and its inspirational to see.     A nerd is a member of the club that was set up by Southern Scouser for all those who are dealing with their money issues.

    DFW is deft free wannabee and MFW is mortgage free wannabee. Apologies for the jargon, don't worry though as there are still some things on here that I have no clue at all what they are supposed to mean :confused: , it's all a, learning curve. Thanks for posting BAILEYS6904.:T
