Can we have a NERD online gathering to see how we're getting on?

Hi everyone, just wondered if all the nerds could maybe update each other as to their DFW status, number and debt busting and still to do.

Would also highlight the Nerd club for others that are as yet unaware and may like to join.

Sorry SS, be prepared to get bombarded :p

Shall I start;

DFW Status - Very much in debt *cough* around £43,000

DFW number - 267

Debt Busting - house for sale, car soon to be for sale, member of quidco, top cash back, collecting tesco points, ebaying, pigsback.

Still to do - reclaim everything including CC charges, MEAF, PPI, possibly bank charges.

Hi YM, recovered from the friday night party yet?:p :D

Perhaps you can update anyway and leave the DFW number blank until you get it, then edit it in. ;)

  • DFW Status was £35k in July, now £25,235 with another £1900 to come off on Thursday payday :j

    DFW # 677

Debt busting drastic spending cut, meal planning and sandwich-bringing to work, cancelled non essential DDs, wear glasses to work instead of daily lenses, shop at LIDL and asda, have stopped buying clothes (as my DFW journey isn’t a long haul one and I reckon I have enough clothes from my previous 5 years of spending :o ), mystery shopping to replace the eating out habit, subscribed to my favourite mag so I get it half price, eBayed and sold a bit on Amazon, have asked to spread my council tax over 12 months from April as my DFD is January 09 and will save me about £180 for those months, cashback from quidco on gambling (and won a few cheeky bets, too!) , saving silvers and change

    Still to do

Some focus group stuff – have registered with focus4people but nothing yet

Oooh, I can't remember my nerd number - I'll come back to that bit in a minute.

    Edit - Nerd number 263 :T

DFW status - Used to owe £17k - now owe £4204.02 on a car loan which I am hoping to pay off by October. Also borrowed an extra £5k on my mortgage for some home improvements, and wont really consider myself debt free until this is gone too.

Debt busting - Budgetting obsessively, bargain hunting, online surveys, cashback sites, free bingo etc. Had a baby on a budget, and am about to go back to work after 12 months maternity leave (noooooooooo:().

Still to do - sell the shares from my sharesave if they ever increase enough to be worth selling. :o
