Oh Cack-bid on wrong item

If i retract bid it shows on feedback page as 1 retracted bid? If he cancels does it show as bids cancelled on feedback page?

P.s Auction i bid on does not end for two days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it will show if they cancel your bid in the same place but only for this auction and will not appear on yours or their feedback in the future.
if you dont hear from them soon i would just retract your bid and explain to them the reason,most sellers will be understanding especially if you buy the other one or offer to cover their listing fees.

He e-mailed me back and said i have to retract bid, but ebay say i can only do that if i cannot contact seller. Have e-mailed him back and said that he needs to cancel my bid as i have asked him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just cancel your bid using the option that you entered the wrong amount. No one will check up on you and all that will happen is that for the next 6 months on your feedback page in tiny little numbers at the top it will show "bids retracted - 1".

If the buyer is unwilling to retract your bid you can't make him and then you run the risk of being the winner at the end.

Don't worry, no one ever checks up on that.

I once had a bidder who retracted a bid on one of my auctions, he had 90+ retractions in the past 6 months and when I complained to ebay they just said they would refer him to the correct terms and use of retractions. If that's all they do for 90+ retractions, they aren't even going to bother checking up on your one.

Hi All

Thanks for all your help. I retracted the bid saying unable to contact seller, if he argues the toss thats up to him, and yes you guessed - if he his gonna be like that then i won't be bidding on the star i want!! Anyone would think we're not allowed to make mistakes

shelly - would you believe as soon as i retracted the bid two other people placed bids But i e-mailed him to confirm what i had done and he ok'd me to bid on the right one!!!! But after all that i have been outbid

even if you win the other star you could resell it on the bay there must be others who want this, if not wait until nearer xmas and people will be chewin your arm off to purchase it from you.
