Decent alloy refurb company near Manchester?
Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone could reccommend a decent alloy referb place/mobile fitter near Manchester as I am looking to get the kerbing damage fixed on my Ford Focus 16" Zetec Alloys.
Only need 2 doing..so what sort of price should I be looking at?
Many Thanks! :money:

Here's one in Manchester that will give you a quote online http://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/ but they specialise in full wheel refurb (remove tyre, strip, blast, powder coat etc). You would probably pay a mobile place as much anyway and get a job that isn't quite as good.
You should be able tofind cheaper than the above place if you search hard.
I found a place that will do my 13" wheels for £40 a wheel compared with their £58.75 or £47 a wheel in the "special offers" they keep pushing. Still £28 cheaper for a full set of 4.
Another good thing about a full refurb is you can choose the colour, and it should also reduce the chance of the tyres leaking through the rim in the future - and having to pay £15 for someone to remove the tyre and re-seal it.0 -
You could always buy a 2nd hand wheel for less from a breakers yard as there are loads of Focui on the road? Or if you're ever over in Prescot, there is a very good firm called ProClean who do a fab job! £45 all shot blasted and painted. But tell em you're in the motor trade and they will do them for £30!0

Might be a good idea to look for another set cheap of the same kind and mix and match the best ones?0

Haha..the alloys were an absolute bast*rd to find... they are only available on the 2.0 Focuses I think..been looking months for em!
Its only the one alloy thats got the scratches one.. the others are fine tbh!
I will ring around a few alloy places and see what sort of price I can get the wheel refurbed for! :money:"He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,

Hey,
They are the 16" zetec alloys which come as standard on the 2.0 focus.
My old ones were these:
Now I have the same alloys as the ones on the rear of the car below...the front are 15" zetecs and the back are 16" zetecs. They look a lot bigger than an just an inch IMO compared to the 15s:"He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,

the top picture is what you get on the Ghia...
the 2.0 Zetec gets the bigger ones on the car above.0 -
Only thing I'd be careful of is that they can come out a different colour when refurbed - might be good idea to get all four done. More money but look better..Genie

Very true. Get two done and put them two on the same side. so no one will notice any colour differences...0
