  • yes we're in the cotswolds, but will be moving in 3 weeks up north to be nearer my family.
i dont know what the old system was like, but we didnt even bother with homeview in the end, we just couldnt wait 3 years! luckily found a private landlord through a friend, rent is 625 pcm on a 2 bed bungalow so its reasonable for the area. as soon as we moved they downed us to bronze, so in other words, we'd still be waiting in 20 years!
4 beds are hard to find though, especially with homeview, and cost a fortune to boot! mind you, we looked at a four bed in stow that was 650pcm, and was quite nice. it was the only thing humberts had in our price range at the time, but was just waaay too big for us.

    hi
my parents are trying to be rehoused on a bidding system and it stinks. it is complicated and time consuming if you are not computer literate and would have to walk miles to find a computer anyway!!!! the HA's say they will help-- they don't-- and over 100's bid on the "nice" properties. I think loads of older people stay where they are because they cannot handle the new systems, and are living less well because of it. My parents have alovely 3 bed semi with huge garden and are so fed up with it all they have decided to stay where they are, stop caring for the garden and live downstairs. I help when I go and visit, and I find it difficult to use as well. So, good luck, but don't hold your breath
