Hi everyone
Haven't done anything off the list today as I went to the hairdresser after work then saw DD2 and didn't get home till 8.30 and DD1 was here with 3 friends till after 10.
I have emptied dishwasher, got washing in, loaded wm, loaded dw, put clothes away, hung wet clothes in airing cupboard, walked dog and put rubbish out so I'm reasonably happy with that.
Will do more tomorrow, promiseyou lot seem to do loads!

Done pretty much nothing on my list today. Went into work today for a couple of meetings (DH worked from home to mind LO and then he picked up DD1 from preschool), went to lunch (pizza mmmmmmm), then by the time this was over it was time to collect DS from school, get DD1&2 from DH and take DS to hisswimming leson. Then go home and do general tidy and then tea.
And THEN I went to Weightwatchers - bah - put on 1/2 lb. Oh well. Back to the drawing board for next week.
Big moan now but I had to get it out of my system ....
Oh yeah and had a tense moment at swimming. People have this REALLY ANNOYING habit of jiust leaving their stuff in a cubicle when they're not using itToday DS left the lesson a couple of mins early as he was crying as he was too cold. So as everyone else was waiting for their child at the pool entance I was trtying to find a cubicle. DS was crying and shivering, DD1 was whining and crying, and LO was in the pram. I was trying to find a cubicle near the pool exit as I wait for my friend's daughter (long story). So I got to the end of yet another row of full cubicles. Got fed and just thought stuff it - I am going to use this full one anyway. So I start getting DS dry in it. Next thing this mother who I vaguely know from school who I'd been chatitng to at the start of the lessons comes out and gives me the filthiest look ever and says "ER those are are things in there." as if to say "you stupid idiot" or "you ignorant git". And then she stood there with her one 4 year old and watched as I gathered up the swimming bag, the crying DS, the whinging DD, and dragged them out whist pushing LO's pram. So not only did she use up a cubicle, but she then made me feel like I was the one in the wrong, gave me a filthy look, and then made us all move, and all 30 minutes after having a very nice pleasant conversation with me. I was LIVID   Snotty cow. If it had been a total stranger I would have handed the stuff out to her and said "well there's your stuff then" but I just dont want to get into an argument that carries on into school from here on in.   aarrrghhhh I am still fuming from it.
deep breaths deep breaths
On the plus side I asked DH will he help with the before bed feed and he agreed. I made the point of saying I dont just need him to do i for a few nights, I need him to do it every night. So we'll see. He still hasnt booked the promised holiday though I am reminding him every night.
Dusty - love that quote about standing still on a bike
likklegibbon - nice to see you, haven't seen you aroundHow exciting booking your wedding :j WHat you said is exactly what we thought - we paid for it so we did what WE wanted had who WE invited and noone could argue. Miond you I wanted it all to be so perfect I did get pretty stressed. But at the end of the day - it was just brilliant
vanilla - todays school bag yielded a 31 book token for the book fair - but I fully expect the books to be extortionate so a wuid won't make too much difference.

Hi, I am fairly new to posting but have been lurking for a while.
Have been trying to keep up with all the flying this week, don't think I've done too badly for first week. Everywhere looks a bit tidier anyway. Don't know how you all fit everything in, you are sooooo inspiring. Hope I can keep it up.
JillD We had similar problems at our local swimming lessons, my boys had private lessons - (yes, it was expensive but they learnt so much quicker), their lessons were staggered from the group lessons and we still couldn't find an empty cubicle. Some people are so inconsiderate. Glad I've finished that!0 -
What are frozen pollacks???
Where the devil have you been hiding?! Welcome back, been a while since you last popped in. Hope you are all well
SAV3R welcome
JillD sorry but I wouldn't have been so nice. We don't tend to have stuff left in changing rooms at the pools we go to too often thankfully. Where the boys go on a Thursday isn't a public pool so it's much easier.
Right, well, not finished my list, school nurse is coming out in the morning & the sitting room looks like a bombsite! Oh joys. Right, think I should do a little now then finish it in between the mad dash morning, I think I will then have about 5 minutes left to vacuum before she gets here. DS2 did help tonight by filling then starting the washing machine off for me after gathering the uniforms, he's a little treasure sometimes. One day I might be more organised...........

jilld- talk to the manager at the pool and explane that some people (stuck up mum) are hogging the cubicles by leaving their stuff in them while they go for their swimming lesson, if the manager is any good at his/her job they should put a sign up or have a word with the mums/dadsBack on MSE again! to take control of my finances and not let it control me. :T May grocery challenge £41.96/1400

on a more serious note, over the last few weeks DS, DD (who dosent live with us) and me have all started getting very dry skin! DS was scracrting befor and when he showed me his leg it was bleeding. has anyone got any ideas for trearting it?
My partner gets very bad dry itchy skin and bad eczema he has found the hemp body butter and hemp hand cream from the body shop really helps.
It is not cheap but it has cleared it up better than the steroid creams the dr gave him. (steroid cream made it worse)
hope that helps0 -

You still didn't answer my question!!!
Yeah I know I haven't been around - I've been seriously slacking. Tried a few new routines, but nothing is quite right.
So, an executive decision has been made by me. I just cannot do a little bit of 'housework' ala Flylady every day. Just can't. I can keep up with the basics - the laundry, DW etc, but not actual cleaning. So - three/four days a week that I work, that's what I do - the basics. The days that are left, what I do depends on how I feel. Sometimes I might get the whole house done on one day - other times I spread it out - other times I do half one week and half the next LOL.
And I feel much better about things. If there is to be any peace, it will come through being, not having - Henry MillerM.A.C.A.W Member . . Wannabe Flybaby0 -
Hi Denise! Glad you've found a routine that suits you, everybody's lives are different and daily Flylady doesn't suit all - I just keep coming back for the chatter when I haven't time to do more than dailes. Nice to see you though!
Pollack (or is it Pollock?) is a kind of fish used sometimes instead of cod (there's not much cod left in the North sea apparently..) and sounds rude. Hee hee..
Have a good day folks, been up since 6 rotating 2 lots of wet washing, moving imaginary money about and drinking tea. Have a good weekend too if I don't get on tonight. One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400

fallen_angel_shelley wrote: »michelle- do all high schools do an ILP for yr11 students? DS had his interview the other night and got handed a piece of paper and has now not got a clue what it's for (boys) i told him that it must be for something as his new college tutor sighned it and handed it to him
all our kids have ILPs and have done for the past 3 years. I am not sure about other schools, but we have it as part of Every Child Matters policies, and got them round about when we went into special measures. They are the bane of my life as the kids take no ownership over them, and then i end up having to write things in them, so we recorded everything we talked about at parents interviews yesterday.
sorry i can't be more help
yet another exploded dirty nappy, so WM on, now on 2nd nasty nappy, and i should have left for work 10 mins ago and i am still not dressed. AAAH. Get the feeling it will be one of those days.0
