I love that word
perhaps we should have a word of the day. Could start off with Diddlysquat tomorrow.
We had a spell in our office where we would write the word of the day on the white board (unfortunately visitors could see it as well so we had to be careful). We used to have things like Colloals which we used to get from our mobiles when certain words werent in the predictive text :rotfl:
Mudbath - I want an avatar too - how do you find them
Oh colloals, I shouldnt be sat here I should be getting on, have to clear the kitchen as OH went to bed but left the freshly cooked joints of ham and pork on the side as well as gunk all over the table!, and I still have to do uniforms and sandwiches
Might not get chance to catch up tomorrow but will try and read the thread at lunchtime.
Have great flyingMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

I've got the too big bed being collected and OH's relatives coming in the afternoon so i best get my bum into gear tommorrow.
Welcome to the newbies.

Kazmeister - you go to your CP settings and click on edit avator. Then you check the custom avator box and browse your piccies on your computer. I can't put photo's up - don't know why - but I had my smilie man rocker thing in my files so used him. Would love a clever person to tell me how to put a photo up xx0

Hi, I'm new to all of this but need to get the house in order so I'll give it a go. Didn't realise there were different levels at first (and frankly was terrified by level 3) but I'll give level 1 a go.
Vanilla - the science centre is walkable from the centre of Glasgow as long as the kids don't mind a wee trek (or donner if you're being scottish). Lovely old fashioned toy shop at Charing Cross but can't remember the name. Have fun.Mortgage OP 2025 £6000/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Tesco points could go either way. I usually get mine within about five days but once it took three weeks. Do you or don't you?!?!
Stuff it i've ordered them and i think i'll give them a ring in the morning, hopefully they will be here on time and if not we'll just have to go on another trip to glasgow;) .
I think i've ordered them wrong because i'll get 40 pounds of vouchers but i only need 34 pounds, it's very confusing. Gonna look for places that have deals on for eating out, gonna make this a very moneysaving weekend but a very enjoyable one. Already talked the hotel to allow DS2 to get breakfast free.:jSometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -

Are you looking to just put a pic up, then you need an account with photobucket or similar (it's free) then upload pics to that account, when that is done then tick the box under the pic and click for code, on the next page it will ask weather you want pic for ebay, notice board or message board, copy the one you want and then paste wherever you want to put it, hope that made sense.:DSometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Just packing up for the night. Ended up doing ok for today,
- food shop
- all packed away
- washed 2 loads of DHs clothes
- soaked one load of DS's stuff, and washed (darn - still need to hang that lot up)
- made a SC of stew
- wrapped birthday pressies for dad and BIL - both tomorrow
- cleared a good chunk of the spare room
- had a sort out through 4 boxes of school stuff and condensed it to 3, lots recycled or heading back to school. Some of the other stuff i was unsure about so will keep for now, and have a go at sorting better while i am off.
- 3 boxes put out in the garage
- visited parents to show them scan piccies and deliver birthday pressies
- borrowed there steam wall paper stripper so we can do the next step in the master plan
- planned 3 lessons for tomorrow.
- marked set of y10 homeworks ready to teach them again tomorrow
plan for tomorrow:- packed lunch made
- drop DS at nursery, pay bill by cheque
- teach 4 lessons - student on interview, so i have to deal with year 11 today.
- break detention for any y9s who didn't do h/w
- speak to form tutors of 2 kids who didn't do detention last week
- put 8GH scheme on R drive
- speak to K about having a copy of one of his worksheets to go with that scheme
- mark y9 h/w
- mark some y9 books
- try to finish 8K scheme
- pick up DS
- drive home - evening bed and bathtime routine
- cook salmon, wedges and salad for dinner
- deal with post
- do some ironing
- collapse in bed
i feel like the mountain has got a bit smaller, so i will be continuing to put home before here, especially as we need to dedicate as much of next weekend as possible to DIY, so i need to be super organised and not take up all weekend working.
Anyway, quick splosh and bed for me, will try to check in tomorrow if i have time.

Just got back, was sent a text from a friend I haven't seen for ages to meet up so went, seen some others I haven't seen for about a year, few I haven't seen in at least 2 years, so was lovely catching up for a couple of hours, DP babysat as he'd been out all day, he of course just slept as he'd only had 3 hours last night so have kicked him up to bed.
Thanks again to Pigpen for looking after things, you are a superstarWelcome to all the frequent, not so frequent
and new flyladies
Davgirl, the show home comment made me giggle, you obviously haven't seen the photos :rotfl:
Tashja, not a good start, hope you are feeling better soon
Mudbath have you tried another college/tutor, there may be others running which are more popular, I know how frustrating it can be I turned up for my level 3 in web design course to be told it'd been cancelled.great news on the living room however, now you need to mop aswell as vacuum :rotfl: laminate is easier but more work, you know when you clean stuff off it'd have been absorbed into a carpet, ewww!
Kaz hope all goes well with the visitor, you're braver than me taking strangers into your home, but I am sure you will all gain something from it. I am sure littlemeister will love it.
AnW'sMum, I don't think you need me to tell you we're all with you in spirit, will be thinking of you every day, you know where we are if you need us, stay strong honey x
vanilla I've had deals take anything from 2 days to 3 weeks to arrive, but they are valid for several months and if you don't use them you can send them back if it's before they expire and get them converted back (well they did last year) If you order them over the phone someone said it's quicker? so calling might help. I'd use £30 of the CC vouchers, pay the £4 and keep the £10 voucher for somewhere else.
Right, I'm in, but also need to study like mad and get the assignment done that is due in by the 5th, I was thinking we had more days but it's a short month isn't it, oh darn. Then next assignment on another subject is due by the 12th, so the panic has kicked in, at least it's kicked in now and not 48 hours before like last time :rotfl: However the oven is looking icky so I am going to do that tomorrow, I invested in some Ovenmate to save me on time this week so hoping it works and I don't do something awful with it.One day I might be more organised...........
