    thank you all
my biggest concern is as wether it is a good idea to buy a new build house in this area as it looks quite established area and is it a good growth area in respect to houses?
    thanks once again

One thing to think about with new builds is if they have garages you are unlikely to get your car in them as they are not big enough.

Also depends on if you want a big garden or not.

I was not born in the area but did like it as it was handy for so many things.

Not sure where you are from but they run a dual bin system one for general rubbish and one for cardboard and green waste. And are collected every other week. As well as green box for tins, glass etc.

I felt safe walking around at night. Not sure what else to say. Oh you are well placed for cinemas. I singed up to a load of sites and went to the cinema for free at least once a month. And that was the Vue which is up by Asda. The showcase and cineworld.

    Hope that helps.

I never use to travel in to town centre at rush hour. But I have heard it can be bad.

Not knowing what area the school is in can make it difficult to say how bad the traffic is going to be.

But for most places you don't have to drive through town.

    hi
hw is the property growth in the area for new houses u hv or anyone has a clue
    thanks
  • Hi,

Ther majority of houses in Longwell Green tend to be older i.e 25 to 10 years old and there is very little ground left to build on. So, if you buy it, yours will probably remain one of the newer properties in the area. It is a popular area, but who knows what will happen to house prices generally.

Driving towards the town centre in the rush hour is a nightmare. I leave home at 6.40 every morning, so that I can drive straight in (taking 15 to 20 minutes). I go to the gym for a hour and then go to work. If I leave later than 7.30am it can take up to an hour to crawl your way in - longer if there is an accident or traffic light problem. This is a problem with Bristol generally - it doesn't seem to matter where you are travelling from and it's getting worse.

If you let me know where the school is, I can advise you of likely travelling times and routes.

    Paulina.

    hi
    the school is bristol grammer
    thanks a lot
  • Hi,

I think Bristol Grammer School is about a street back from the bottom of Queens Rd. This is quite a busy area in Central Bristol.

If you are driving, then after about 7.30am it could take an hour to do the 9 odd miles to the school. If you leave before then it will probably take half an hour. I hope you have a Car Parking space provided at the school as free on-street parking is hard to come by. It pays to take the few back streets into town, and I can let you know the best routes if you go ahead. Like I already said, it is better to leave early and make use of your extra time in the morning than to sit fuming in stationary traffic.

If you want any more info, then let me know.

    Paulina.
