I am not going to eat my Pigs as they are only small and are Guinea :D

Well this keep fit thingy is going OK. 3rd day on the Wii and am even having fruit and vegetroubles. Only had the one can as well as I am working but my body is not used to this attention. May have to have a burger soon as an antidote so that I keep my body in the manner it has become accustomed to :D

    Take care

No.no no...my god I've sunk to some terrible depths in my time but goat shanks and goats shepards pie...no, no, no..I expect its really nice but I'm just too bloody sqeamish!!!

As for the wii, keep it up and well done- it lasted about 20 seconds in my house as kids decided they would rather play XBOX with no movement- sign of the times I'm afraid.

    Hi Guys

First time i've posted on this thread, but i'm struggling tonight!

OH and me cut down massively on our alcohol consumption about 6 weeks ago. We allow ourselves 1 glass of wine or a vodka and coke on a Saturday night as our 'treat'. We decided we needed to do something as we started by having a cpl of glasses of wine every night, to getting through up to 3 bottles of wine a night between us.

I always felt tired, groggy and generally run down, and the amount my oh was drinking use to frighten me quite honestly. I really thought he was going to have a heart attack or something as he always had a really unhealthy colour about him.

So, both being overweight and generally unhappy with ourselves, we started a massive diet/exercise/alcohol free drill. He's lost 2 stone in 2 months, i've lost just over a stone and we're so pleased with how we're doing. All the money that we spent on booze (Asda's 3 bottles of wine for a tenner nightmare deal), we're saving in a tin and have already booked a holiday with it.

But, when OH is on nights, as he is tonight - i get absolutely desperate for a drink! I'm sure it's just boredom, but tonight i've literally bitten all my nails off trying abstain from the booze cupboard. Arrrggghhhh - feel better for writing it all down and it's kept me away from 'the cupboard' for another 15 mins!

Good luck to you all too xx p.s. sorry this post was sooo long

Right folks, I'm signing off for the week.

    One simple message:

The only person who can take you to where you want to get to is you. Others can give you reason to make your choices but it's up to you folks. You can stop/cut down if you really want to.

    Take care.

Like any addiction (not just an alcohol addiction) if you focus on becoming fit once you start gaining inroads and get into the routine of doing the daily grind you will naturally want to drink or smoke less cause you will feel like its poisoning your body.
