These measurements have been taken at the base of the crock as it tapers slightly, so this is the smallest area. If you are unsure if it will fit in due to the oval shape and you tell me how big your terrine is, I can see if it will fit by making a paper template.

thanks ever so much for this that's really helpful
From the measurements it looks as if it is just the same size as my big oval Le Creuset casserole which tells me exactly how big it is and how full it will be when I cook the sort of meals I usually do.It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -
The superdrug offers are this week only going by what it says in this link.

woo-hoo I got the small Morphy Richards today in Robert Dyas for £19.99 which seems quite a good price. They also had the 6.5l for £24.99. Thanks very much to everyone who helped me decide.
Can't wait to get started. Now that the trees are beginning to turn colour I find I want to cook casseroles rather than saladsIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -
We are a family of 5...both myself and DH work full time so think a slow cooker would be a great help to us... what I would like to do is fill it the night before.. (can you put them in the fridge
???) then before work the next day put it on ready for teatime...
But which one... would like stainless steel looking one... any suggestions???
Am looking through the argos and the Rival chrome crock pot slow cooker looks ok at 29.99... anyone have one of these???
Thanks for any advise in advance.0 -

Just checked my slow cooker book and I found out its only 2.5L. Its always held enough for 4 people. I'm in shock  I didn't realise it was that small.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

i've got a delonghi one, that was £25 in kwiksave a while ago, it's nice, white/silver, fairly modern looking. It's a 4 litre one, I'm not sure why on earth you'd need a 6 litre, that would be huge, nearly 1.5 gallons?!

Not used a Rival one, but as a make they don't get good reviews. They are big in America tho' but I believe reliabilty isn't what is could be.
I have the MR 6.5L one (as well as 2 smaller ones) and I use it all the time. It fits a large chicken or a leg of lamb and when I make a veg curry, I fill itWhat will cook a lot will cook a little, as they say
Am I right in thinking I read on here earlier that this (MR) beasty has been seen in Robert Dyas for about £25?0
