  • Had to go to Dentict with DD today she has been in pain for the last two days. A week after her filling. Turns out she has a abcess poor little mite. We thought she was playing it up. Dentist wasnt our usual but gave us antibiotics free when I mentioned money was tight. The tooth now needs to come out or will give future probs before it falls out (baby tooth). Have to speak to regular dentist about cost. I am not a happy bunny at paying £40 for a filling only for the tooth to need to be removed so I will be negotiating on Monday.

Aw Wendy big hugz. I do know how you feel. Especially when it just seems like a constant battle. But if you hadn't started on this journey where would you be now? So look at it this way, the feelings you've got today are because you've taken the bull by the horns, decided to turn your life around and become 'debt free' Just imagine that it's a few years down the line, you carried on as you were and now you're seriously in trouble!!! You'd give anything to be able to change that and become debt free!! Change back to today...hey you're not in that situation...you DID make that best decision of your life and you ARE doing something about it. Does that make sense?
About the studying. If you don't do any it will be on your mind all day and you won't be able to relax. So get your books out and do an hour max, than put them away. So now you've studied and you can relax.
You're doing a great job Wendy and you are getting there.

I don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.

  • :A Wise words as ever Dizzy. You always know how to make me feel better. Ive had a sleep and dont feel as bad now. My sisters coming up in a bit but after that Ill try to fit an hour in even if its just reading the book.

It does feel like a constant battle and I am much better off than I would have been if I had stuck my head in the sand. Probably on a DMP by now.

  • awwhugs for you - justcatching up after my ridiculously busy week. Sorry you feel so fed up. You have alot on your plate and you must plan in some quiet time to recoup...anyone would be fed up with non stop looking after everyone else & working. How are they trying to wangle out of paying the dental? they really are slippery snakes these insurance cos arent they...Maybe the aim for the week should be that we get you to set a you enjoyment target - ie reading a book, watching a film or sommat that you like? whatcha think?

  • Cheers ISOM

I have paid the dental just want the money back. Plan 1 is to cry down the phone (emarrasing but it did catch me offguard) to the people I pay the money too (open on Sat) who on Monday will try to negotiate with the acutal policy providerers.

Plan two is to give up and have two of the 5 fillings I need and DD2 other two fillings and/or the cost of removal of the first tooth in Sept when I can claim a max of £300 for the both of us. Downside to this is I havent got the £300 to pay out really. Probably best option.

Plan three- give up cancel the policy and cut my losses. (£40 a month- and what I thought I had done last year).

I should be happy with what I have in life I just let it get on top of me too often. Thanks for letting me off load again.

  • Oh and regards to me time. Ive had a pretty much do nothing weekend. Been watching Olympics and cricket. Will try a bit of baking later more lemon cake on order. Hope the lazy weekend will help. I have a busy week at work ahead. Will still try to rest in the evenings though.

Spends so far are £15 grocery top up. Trying to hold off a big shop this week. £25 left till Sat.

OH gave me £95 (£80+paid for shop) just £5 owed.

Found £3 in a going out bag so £1 of that to DD2 for her tooth that fell out.

  • Seriously got lazyitus over the last few days. Managed to get a study day and Im still not dressed. Better put a plan into action:

    1 get blooming dressed done
    2 wake OH done
3 Have breakfast other than a slice of lemon cake oops had rolos
4 Go into town to pick glasses up Done
5 Find study book and read for an hour found book not read much
6 Eat a proper lunch Does Mc Ds count?
7 Study another hour or so

8 we will see when/if I get that far.

Spends yesterday nil although I did get OH to buy chips for dinner

Not doing too great. I have phoned dentist and left message. Received an unexpected £82 chq from insurance!!

  • ref insurance so far paid about £802 in just under two years and claimed back £387. If I pay one more premium of £40 and get treatment for me and DD2 up to £300 then I can claim this back and cancel policy (have checked this) so I will be £55 down.
