Hi, great thread!! It was feedback on here that persuaded me to join Costco originally so thank you!

I read a post several pages back that someone had got Salter High Capacity Glass Scale 9004 for £7.49 +VAT - could this have been an offer price as I called Costco and they said they sell scales for approx £18+VAT and I could do with some??

Things that I've tried and recommend are :-

Lemon Drizzle Cake 750g for £2.99 (so yummy!!)
Whole crispy duck for approx £7
25 cooked spicey bbq chicken wings for £2.99
    Cooked chicken and spareribs
12 all butter croissants for £2.79 (choc ones are really nice too)
Kirkland washing powder - huge tub for approx £8/9
    Tissues
    Jam
    Spices and Herbs
    Jars of various sauces
    Crisps/Nuts etc
    Biscuits - inc oreos
    Soft fizzy drink
    Wines and beers
    Ginger ale
Chicken, Mince etc (freeze this in batches)
    Fruit/veg
    Tinned foods

    Christmas gifts and decorations
    Kids toys

    Shoes/trainers
    Clothes (shorts, tops, socks, etc)

What i will look into trying after reading this thread :-
    Cards and gift wrap
    Bio oil

That might have been me as I bought those Salter scales and they have been great. They weren't a special offer. They obviously bought a job lot because I tried to buy some for a friend a few weeks later and they didn't have any.

So she bought some in Robert Dyas for about £12.00

Thank you for replying, appreciate it.. The ones they have now might be slightly different as they were dearer too. I might try Robert Dyas - I want some that I can use to weigh suitcases on :)

Can anyone tell me if they sell large bags of flour, oats, rice and pasta and the prices of them please?

They don't sell 'catering packs', they do sell large packs/outers of domestic sized packs - so 6 x 1kg packs of pasta for example. I've never found the prices to be cheap - large economy packs in Tesco are cheaper, but the quality of Costco food is much better than what you'd expect for a similar price in a supermarket.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
  • Bought the fillet steak on Saturday, and I must say it is so tender and melts in the mouth. Will have to try thier other meat products now.

We regularly buy flank/skirt steak, pork loin, pork steaks, sirloin steak and organic whole chickens. A couple of weeks ago we also bought a beef joint for roasting. All are delicious, but to be honest we buy most of our meat from the butcher in our village as I'd like to ensure he stays in business (and also because you can't buy Exmoor venison from Costco!) I wish more people would do the same.

I love the food offers at Costco after you've done your shopping - the baked potatoes are lovely and the pizza delicious. Even a hot drink and a pastry won't break the bank
