It's still great for glasses lexie especially if you want designer ones. They charge 45 for standard lenses and that's complete with anti glare and anti scratch coatings. Frames obviously vary in price and I've no idea what varifocals will cost, but it's worth going in there anyway if you have a card or if someone you know does. Let me know how you get on!0

Hi happi,
I bought a small keter shed a year back and was disappointed with it. I did order it mail order though and wasn;t expecting it to look like a fridge freezer lol
A lot of places are doing offers on timber sheds at the moment (wilkos have got some good offers) and if you're in the nortwest I got a great deal from Atlas sheds. Have a look in your local freebie paper or the yellow pages and check out any websites they link to. In the meantime I'll ask the hubby if his store has the sheds and what they're like and get back to you if he ever gets back to me...he has the worst memory lol0 -
Sorry to hi-jack the thread but wondered if being a self-employed childminder would entitle me to Trade Membership? Although I don't have any letterheaded paper etc and work from home so can only take personal utility bills in.0

Hiya Trippy
I don't think so as I guess you're not VAT registered, and that's one of the things you have to have proof of. If you are you could call your local store and enquire of course. Trade membership's nothing to write home about anyway to be honest...you just get to go in a bit earlier and get VAt free prices but you'd have to pay your VAT back anyway.0 -

You should be OK, a friends wife got membership and she is also a self-employed childminder. I think you just need to take along registration certificates as proof.
Sorry! I'm giving duff advice if that's the case...i thought you needed your VAT registration info. If you don't provide this though you still pay the prices inc VAT, so there's no money off.0 -
Managed to get today 12 tins of Heinz tomato soup with 100% extra free ( double reg size) for £3.9x
24 pack of tomato soup ( regular size can ) was £13.9x so you get the same amount of soup with nearly a £10 saving !
This was also on the Chicken and vegetable soups too. This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.Robert M. Hutchins0 -
Costco currently have a large plastic shed on sale (Keter Summit) which we're thinking of buying - has anyone else bought one and if so what do you think of it.
Cheers,
I bought the previous 8x8 Keter shed and it is brilliant. The latest one I think is more ornate with mock Georgian pillars and handles. I've had the shed for about a year and paid £400ish for it. It took two of us about 2 hours to click and screw it together - no tools apart from a screwdriver and a stepladder. One year later it's endured all the storms and has stayed watertight. Looks less obtrusive compared to the brand new celeb suntan orange wooden shed. The man without a signature.0 -

Just asked my hubby to check out the Tomato soup deal and apparently his Costco don't do it!
Each Costco has their own suppliers and won't necessarily carry the same stock so just be aware of this if you're after something. They all of course carry the Kirkland stuff (their own brand).
