uninstall IE7 reinstall IE6

This is all very interesting because............

I have a computer which is about 5/6 yrs old and runs XP. I used IE6 satisfactorily until about Christmas time when a pop-up suggested installing IE7, which I did. I can't remember what it was, but there were issues I couldn't get on with and the machine slowed down. Having read about FF, I installed that and formed the opinion that it was clearer, faster etc. so made that my daily browser, even though I retained IE7.

During the last week or so, it takes about 4 mins to boot up and many pages take ages to load. My IT man said that my machine might not be able to accommodate IE7, hence the slowness. Any opinions?

Not true. You merely have to uninstall IE7 from add/remove programs. Unless you have Vista.
