The phone I purchased was a Motorola V8 flip phone. It was priced instore at £129.99 but on this phone, O2 stores are allowing £50 p/x on any old phone.
I read that as an offer on this and maybe selected other phones. I also think the terms might be a very bad attempt at disclaiming they'll keep the traded in phone and you won't get to keep the trade in amount, nor can you have your phone back.0 -

Hmmm...I checked the stores this morning from the outside (not open as yet) and there was no ad on the windows advertising cashback for old phones.
I am carrying my old phone in later to see if i can get hold of a new Nokia 6300.
Is it easy to unlock PAYG phones?0 -
BE interested to see how you get on with the 6300, BTW do they do the Black Version? Can't see it on their Web Site.Cheers

Doesn't it mean that the refund you will be given takes account of the discount that you have already received because of the trade in: ie in this case 79.99 and thats your lot?
I would be interested to see if anyone makes this one stick!
I have to be honest, I read it this way aswell.July MB Challenge- £300.00 got £301.14August MB Challenge - £300 got £524.90Septembet MB Challenge- £300 got £0 (just started)0 -
Hmmm. If the refund includes the allowance, surely they will refund the allowance, in this case £50. Otherwise it would surely state ...to EXCLUDE the allowance.0

Includes meaning taking into account, I think.0

I am gonna try this! I have two old phones (Samsung SGH600 and Panasonic GD92, anyone remember these?). I will go down to the o2 shop and see whats happening. If they have the offer I will go for it, and tomorrow return them.
The way I read this, is that you get a refund of the 130pounds since they will NOT return your mobile.
Many thanks to OP!0 -
well i'll give it a go... worst thing that happens is i lose my crappy old phone.Hating Hastings Direct!0
