Phoning UK from Tenerife
I am going to Tenerife in 2 weeks time. I want to use my mobile to send texts to UK out there and if cheap enough make phone calls. Does anyone know if I can buy a cheap sim card or phone a No. to get cheap calls/texts.
I have an o2 contract and o2 pay as u go phone.
cheers

Can't answer your question but we rang home every other day last year on Orange contract (company mobile), and I had to re-imberse the company about about £7 on my return.aford000 wrote:I am going to Tenerife in 2 weeks time. I'm sure a contract will be much cheaper than a PAYG though.
By the way, we're going to Tenerife 2 weeks today - see you there!0 -

02 contracts has ITS option which has a lower call costs - believe given free on contracts at £30pm ore higher - but pls check
Even then its not cheap to call ( and you also pay for incoming calls ) have you thought of using a calling card in local phones instead ( or believe there is a carrier service mentioned eslewhere )
( ps I did not really mean to thank you - hit the wrong button )Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
