Abbey Credit Card

I agree with what has been said. A company to avoid!
My experience is:
1. 5 weeks to get the card
2. 8 weeks and still waiting for internet access for it
3. Got half the credit limit i requested
4. Too late to make the balance transfer (the main reason for applying for the card)
5. Requested a second card - didn't happen, and now can't be issued as i'm told its too late
6.Rude staff (the majority seem v.young, can't provide any helpful information, and appear not to be interested anyway)
WARNING - make a balance transfer OR use it for purchases - NOT BOTH, or you'll end up being charged interest on the purchases up to the date you pay off the balance transfer
Virgin credit card was a doddle in comparison - good credit limit, helpful staff, 7days from application to receiving card0
