02 pay & go-want new phone

i've been on o2 pay as you go for bout 6-7 years now nd i really need a new phone- someone told me that in o2 shop they give you money off new phone for being a loyal customer is this true? if so how much can i expect to get off? do u need proof? if anyone can help that would be great!

so does that mean if it is a £100 phone i can only get £5 off- i think id be better off buying elsewhere

You'll get back 5% of your topups back over the last 18 months up to a value of £100.

For example, if you've spent £300 on top-ups in the last 18 months, you'll get £15 towards your new phone.
