Balancing the radiators is nothing to do with the pressure in the boiler.

With sealed systems if the pressure drops it will require re-pressurising, like this- http://www.ultimatehandyman.org/videos/118/how-to-re-pressurise-a-combi

That video should really be called how to pressurise a sealed system as it does not just apply to combi boilers. But at least is shows how to do it. There are a couple of things that can also be picked up on in the video, but at least someone has gone to the trouble to make a video and it is free, unlike many sites on the net which charge for such info.

    For balancing see here- http://www.invensyscontrolseurope.com/NR/rdonlyres/8850B04F-5323-48E3-BD8B-B33ADB04A2E5/7139/D348v2.pdf

Sorry if this isn't where I should post this but I think my problem is similar. My central heating is okish but my problem is that upstairs I have 2 double radiators - one of them works perfectly but the other one doesn't - the back of the radiator works perfectly but the front one is cold - I tried bleeding it but as soon as I turned the key the water came out so I had to close it again so the radiator at the front is still cold. Any suggestions anyone? I would be really grateful because it has been like this for ages and the room is cold all the time. I do not have a combi boiler - oil fired central heating.

    Many thanks
    Regards
  • Hi
I went to bleed the radiators last night and had the little key thing but where I expected to see the valve to turn is more of a screw - am I looking in the right place (top right of radiator) or are all radiators different?

For double radiators - front one is inside top left and back one is inside top right - at least that is how it is on all mine.

Might have a white cover on the front of the hole which you need to remove.

While bleading radiators remember to turn off the bolier/ not have the heating on, as this can draw air in to the system.
