Balance Transfer Question?????

If i was to do a balance transfer from old card to new card with 0% offer and wasn't able to transfer the full amount due to credit limit on new card, would that count as monthly payment on old card, or would I still need a payment on the old card aswell.

If it landed between your statement date and the payment due date, yes.

However, depending on the provider, if you have a DD set up then they may also claim this as well in the following circumstances....

1. If the provider has a policy that the DD will be claimed based on the statement balance (eg MBNA) and ignores any payments made in the interim.

2. If your BT hits the account within 5 days or so of the DD collection date.
