    Ooh, you're right Noo.

What have you been doing in the last week Rochdale Guy? Should we be wagging our fingers at you? ::) ;):)
  • I haven't spent at all on the American Express Blue card >:(

I think it's all down to them charging me that £20 late payment fee for a statement I didn't get (and still haven't received).

December 2003 statement - never came
    7th January 2004 statement
    Previous balance = £1437.82 + £28.22 new debits = £1466.04 closing balance, comprised of:

£20 late payment fee plus £8.22 interest.

Minimum payment NOW needed = £88.00

I rang them up and they waived the £20 fee.
    I then paid £88.00 online.

    7th February 2004 statement

    Previous balance = £1466.04 - £108 new credits + £7.65 new debits = £1365.69 closing balance.

But what's this next bit ?

    JAN 13 Payment received £88CR
    JAN 12 Credit adjustment £20CR
    FEB 07 Interest charges £7.65
Total of other account transactions £12.35

    ???

Anyway, the next min. payment of £41 will be collected by Direct Debit after I set one up to NEVER miss a payment ever again >:(

Are those figures right then ?

  • Remember how I posted that my Barclaycard Gold Visa card/account was closed back in late November ?

Well, they have sent me yet another statement showing I am owed £1.16 >:(

I explained last time I rang them up they could keep the money or as the woman suggested, give it to charity - which I thought they would do, but oh no !

They send me another darned statement showing I have a £0 credit limit with £0 available to spend, yet they owe me £1.16....

What do I do ? Phone them up and ask to speak to a cusotmer service MANAGER and demand they close my account for good or what ? I was hoping this account was closed for good in November and it would show on my credit reference file as being CLOSED also....

  • I'm guessing they haven't closed the Barclaycard account as there is a balance on it and by transfering the £1.16 you'll have 0 balance and an account you can close and £1.16 off your A & L balance
