Whoops! Sorry for casting doubt (I think that picture - Hollywood Revue must be from the same film but the website has it wrong- maybe!) I found this picture which confirms it in my mind as Broadway Melody 1929.. It's almost at the end of page on this link.. As the brilliant tipplehead pointed out.. The black feathers..
