Hello all,

Anyone know what's going on with EBICO? I applied for gas and leccy with them on 1 Feb and received email confirmation straight away along with blurb that I'd be contacted by post within 14 days. Heard nothing so fired off an email yesterday to their address on their site and it bounced straight back as undelivered. Tried again later, same thing. Belled up their number and it's constantly enagaged. Tried again today by email and phone and once again no joy.

What the hell is going on? I thought these guys were supposed to be good on customer service etc? I've had better service from BG and that's the main reason why I'm leaving them.

Anyone with inside info?

  • Try 0845 7444 555, Its the customer service number for Southern Electric but they will have access to your account as they deal with the billing for EBICO customers. Open times 8am-8pm Monday to Friday and 8am-2pm on Saturday.
    Hope this helps.

EBICO cocked up my transfer and I found it is not possible to contact them by phone. My e-mails were answered but it took days

It took 3 months to get things sorted out mainly by my continued badgering.

The agents at Southern just regard EBICO as another tarrif and I wonder if they realise it is a separate company.

From my experience EBICO have great principals and objectives, but not the resources to carry them out.

This is the first Ebico blip that I seen in more than a year.
Quite a small company and with all the admin being done by Southern, guess that is the reason. After all Southern is the cheapest around and probably unindated with new customers.

I agree with you, but I think it is wrong that EBICO publish telephone numbers that are never answered, and do not have the resources to answer e-mails. Customer's expectations is at least some service, preferably good service.

They are relying on the agents at Southern to give EBICO a good image and it does not work.

Southern Energy will be handling the switch.
I would recommend you ring them rather than Ebico.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

In my case EBICO had started transfer of my gas supply in error. I was concerned that I would lose my annual discount because my supply was not continuous. I felt it was EBICO's responsibility to rectify the mistake, but it was very hard work.

Southern agents are only applying the tarrifs they know, and this type of problem was out of their scope.

It should not be impossible to talk to EBICO or get replies to e-mails if they want to be in this business.

I wondered why I hadn't received any replies to my emails! I have been trying to fill in the form to receive my gas/electric off Ebico but I couldn't work out which was my meter point ref. meter serial no.etc which they needed to know:think: I will have to have another look at my meters, yesterday was 'one of those days for me':rolleyes2

    I hope I won't regret moving from EDF to Ebico.............watch this space!
