Parking Sensors

I forgot to mention -
when we bought our car we beat them down on price until they couldn't go further - then we said "if you fit parking sensors too you've got a deal". We walked away and told them to phone us when they'd decided. An hour later they said yes.
Always buy at the end of the month when they need to make their targets or are in for extra commission. Never buy at the beginning of the month. Or choose really quiet times, we bought our car on December 23rd and we didn't see another customer!0 -

You can get these from ebay for about 50 quid I think. Has anyone fitted them to their cars, and do they work?
On my car (2001 Hyundai Accent) I can judge the front to within a couple of inches, but the rear I always seem to have about 12-18 inches behind me when I think I'm about to touch the car behind. A sensor would be kinda useful.0 -
I already have parking sensors on my car,website:https://www.chinaparkingsensors.com0

These are now on ebay for £20, even less in some cases.
This is for four sensors (which can be spray-painted to the correct colour), a control box, a bleeper, a drill bit for cutting the 2cm holes in your bumper (the bit I'm a little worried about...) and fitting instructions. Seems they take their power from the reverse light circuit, which has the added bonus that they're only active when the car is in reverse.
I think at the price, I will buy a set and play around with them. Worst case scenario they don't work very well and I rebox and resell without fitting to car (easy enough to do a temporary fit with some blue-tack).0
