Mortgage Fees - Are they unlawful?

How about helping the regulars who answer this same question about 5 times a week because some people are too lazy to read a few subject titles first?
Silly me - I thought the self-styled MSE IFA master race welcomed the same questions as it gives them even more opportunity for free self-publicity?
More seriously, just ignore them or Report their rudeness to Abuse, newbies - for people who are allegedly "professionals" they are sometimes more arrogant than they are ever helpful on these Forums :rolleyes:0 -

I may be a bit snappish at times but at least I dont go around digging up old threads to create an arguement and even worse accusing people of being nazis.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

EB,
Why are you trolling? Your post has been reported as such....In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -
EB,

I'm not trolling - it seems as if there are certain know it alls here who sit in judgement on newbies for asking questions. It's not the first time that certain IFAs here act as if they are Mods - I suggest that if you feel that is your job you make a formal application.
Interesting that your first reaction is to report me - how mature of you. Shall I report you as well then? It seems to prove that certain people can't even stand a modicum of criticism (or don't like their relentless self-promotion to remain public.)
Rather than reporting people and calling them trolls, I suggest that if you are unhappy with line 2 of the Forum Etiquette section, or think it doesn't apply to newbies, you would be better advised to write to Mr Lewis and ask him to change it.0 -

Edna_Bucket wrote: »Actually you have a long MSE track record of being very rude and sarcastic to people, which has been noted elsewhere on MSE previously, before this example. Perhaps you should just apologise to the newbie concerned for your rudeness?
I have nothing to apologise for. The example given in my post was comparable to what the op was asking.

Par for the course with this poster - he really does think he owns MSE and anyone who questions his business methods on MSE is called a troll. How sad.
If you really want to own MSE dunstonh, why not put in an offer to Martin?0 -
you are the one acting like the forum policeman. Perhaps thats why you used the nazi reference.
I've had a look at your post history to see you contribute little or nothing to the board in way of information or help. Yet you criticise those that do on the basis of a thread that started at a time we had about 3 threads asking the same on the first page and were getting them almost daily.
Actually, you are not criticising anyone else apart from me yet many of the regulars take the same approach on this subject. So, that suggests you are just anti-IFA and looking for an excuse to create argument. You must lead a very sad life.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). You just can't take any criticism whatsoever can you? It really is amazing.
Ah well, I suppose every post, even the ongoing abusive ones, are a business opportunity with that signature.0 -

I find dunstonh's postings, useful, informative and interesting. Pity you feel you have to snipe at others! Perhaps you ought to study the Forum rules?0
