I went to the car dealer and they had a car in there for 10k. They also had a car for 30k, 50k and 80k.
How can it be legal for them to sell cars at those prices? How can they jusifty selling one car for 80k and another for 10k? Oh its so unfair that i should be forced to pay 50k for a car.

I don't see why you have to be so nasty to the original poster. She's attempting to arrange her first mortgage and is asking a straightforward question. She wants to know if the fees are reasonable or not. It's a minefield out there trying to get a fair deal when choosing a mortgage. But then you already know that don't you?0 -
I agree with Charis.....dunstonh you have been overly harsh with regard to the original thread post. I thought this forum was supposed to be in the spirit of helping others for the common good of moneysaving - not an excuse for people who think they have a somehow superior intellect to mock others. You are right, this forum is here to help and new posters are always welcome and should get a warm reception and all the help they need.
I wrote a post with about 10 points on what new posters should be aware of on this site and this question was quite near the top.
I accept that the OP did not know this and this site is quite relaxed with the usual forum etiquette - however what has become more common is that this question is being asked far too many times. We have asked for a sticky but we have not got it so I am sure whilst this question keeps getting asked, the response will be to go and search.

Why are you paying £250 to add your husband to the deeds - you haven't got the mortgage yet - just add him to the mortgage.
The lender will not usually allow his name to be on the deeds and not on the mortgage.I am a Mortgage Adviser
