Advice From Martin (or Anyone In The Know)?

HI MARTIN ! (OR WHOEVER REPLIES!)

PLEASE ADVISE ME : I am an npower dual customer paying by direct debit, currently being told that as an existing customer I am unable to switch tariff to Online 10 which could save £157, because this tariff is only open to attract NEW customers, existing customers are exempt. Would you suggest I switch to the next company saving listed on Moneysupermarket.com and then reapply say in 14 days to Npower tariff Online 10 (as Npower's supervising customer services employee suggested!)?
There is NO incentive given to keep existing customers with Npower! Your views would be interesting and appreciated please
Regards
