Hiya got my new virgin credit card today so will transfer my barclaycard (£860) on to it, however i want to transfer my fiances MBNA balance on it,
Now i assume you cant use an MBNA partner i.e Virgin to pay off an MBNA card?
So i was thinking can i transfer the equivelent amount in cash to my bank account then use this to pay off the MBNA card?
Please reply asap

Should work but do you get a promotional rate for a cash advance - which is not the same thing as a balance transfer?0

Yup, you can do a balance transfer straight to your current account with Virgin at 0%. Double check with their CS dept when you call up to do the transfer just to be on the safe side."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -

Hiya ok we have our new plan in place my fiances got a new card (Halifax) with a £2300 credit limit, So will transfer half the £4500 onto that, now i need to do the other £2200 on to mine now will i have to do the cash into current account approach dude to back to back MBNAs? If you who do i ring to check this is ok? anyone got a good number?
Thanx0 -
Max BT to Halifax is 90% of credit limit, so that's only £2,070 on a £2,300 limit.
