Virgin credit card is this possible?

Options
Hiya got my new virgin credit card today so will transfer my barclaycard (£860) on to it, however i want to transfer my fiances MBNA balance on it,
Now i assume you cant use an MBNA partner i.e Virgin to pay off an MBNA card?
So i was thinking can i transfer the equivelent amount in cash to my bank account then use this to pay off the MBNA card?

Please reply asap :)

  • Should work but do you get a promotional rate for a cash advance - which is not the same thing as a balance transfer?

Nope, can't balance transfer between MBNA cards.

Yup, you can do a balance transfer straight to your current account with Virgin at 0%. Double check with their CS dept when you call up to do the transfer just to be on the safe side.

Virgin Money, or Virgin Atlantic 'White'? If the latter, what's the size of the MBNA balance.
...i want to transfer my fiances MBNA balance on it...
Don't take this the wrong way, but you will then become legally responsible for the debt. If your relationship falters, there is absolutely nothing you can do to make him take back the balance.
  • Hiya thanx for all the replys its the Virgin money card why does that make a difference?

Max BT to Halifax is 90% of credit limit, so that's only £2,070 on a £2,300 limit.
