I had a lot of hassle trying to upgrade from sim only, this was after I had tranferred from O2 High Street tariff to Online. Eventually they were able to see the previous account details (I had been with O2 for 4 years) and were willing to offer retention deal. They said they need a minimum of 1 years history with O2 in order to give any sort of discount.
