Its Started London down 5.7% on last 1/4

    We are up on the quarter 2.2 but there is something very odd as next area to us has fallen -12. If I look at detached - that has gone up 1.5 in our areabut area next to us has fallen -22.2.Both areas based on 600 sales in total or 150 detached. Just no way is that accurate.

    Things would seem to be slowing although the top end of the market is still very healthy around here. Even though I'm a homeowner, lower house prices would be a good thing, imo, if only for us to have any prospect of our children ever moving out of home! (I'm planning well ahead...)

    Surrounding neighbourhoods between -5.7% and +3% over the 1/4, annually 1.2% to 12.1% up.

    Looks like a correction, not a crash..... at the mo.....

    Overall down 5.4%

    Detached down 0.8%
    Semis down 0.4%
    Flats down 11.4%
    Terraced houses up 10.6%

    Similar sales numbers for all types of houses too.

    Damn. Terraces was where I should have put my money last quarter! Perfect hindsight :rolleyes:
