If you dont have the original modem disk you may have to run a generic driver from the original windows 98 disk, put the disk in and get the computer to search for best driver from the disk.

If you manage to get onto the net with your dad computer go to
http://www.drivershq.com/

and run their program, then search for the drivers you need on google and download them free.
