unlock Argos Samsung X600 & Panasonic G50!

Just thought I would share this, I was about to spend a tenner to unlock mine, but found a website with the generic unlock code on it.

All you need to do is

1)turn on the phone with no sim in it
2)key in #*7337#
3)turn off

It should now take any sim you like  ;D




To unlock the G50:

1) Power on Phone..... WITH NO SIM CARD

2) Type in **00012*00000000#

3) Get "Invalid Password"... Press "ok"

4) Repeat 3 & 4 several times until you get "Phone blocked"

5) Pap your pants and sweat a bit.

6) Type in **00032*00000000#

7) Get "Invalid Password"... Press "ok"

8) Repeat 6 & 7 several times until you get "Phone blocked"

9) Pap your pants again and sweat a bit more.

10) Power off phone. Insert sim of choice. Power up.

Job done.

nope, the codes only work on old A800s unfortunately - you need to do it at a shop or with a cable, you can try the code

but I expect your A800 will be too new

Does this to refer to 2 G50s? I have had this solution as a reply on another forum but didn't like the sound of the "Phone Blocked" bits (or the "Pap your pants and sweat a bit" bits for that matter)

Don't want to risk screwing up a bargain phone.

Thanks dbilsborough, Found some instructions via google on a couple of sites on unlocking the G50 and did find reference to **0012 & **0032 but nobody seemed to give what you had to do. Thanks again.

Would like to say a big thank you to dbilsborough for the Panasonic G50 unlock codes and instructions.
I managed to grab one the other day from Argos and have been searching everywhere for an unlock code.
I have just followed your instructions and can confirm I have now got an unlocked Panny ;D.

Just bought a Panasonic G50 from Argos for my sister who needed a cheap replacement phone for her O2 sim,
Got the phone tried dbilsborough code, 5min later O2 sim working perfectly - I was amused by the fact were still getting Virgin Startup and screen saver- But for the amount she has saved its worth putting up with. P.S. This is a phone made for girls, as I dont know any man who could use it with out pressing three or four buttons at a time ;D
