I signed up for Wanadoo BB on the 26th Aug...
.....And STILL have not recieved the modem I was told would be with me within 7 days. After speaking to them a couple of times and sending e-mails and being promised it more than once i'm now sick of waiting.
Can I tell them to stick the contract I signed up for on the 26th of Aug or am I tied even though I am still paying the dial-up price?
Cheers,
Pete.

I used to work for them and if you signed up on the 26th August it has been well passed the cooling of period of two weeks, I think your allowed? So they will not cancel the contract if your account has been activated even though you have never used the service.0

I had the exact same problem with onetel, they had activated my account and charged me for 2 months usage even though i had not received the modem and not accessed my account. I was fed up waiting and having to manage on pay as you go dial-up through this. So I rang and asked to speak to a supervisor and told them to stick it, and have now had my money refunded and my account cancelled. Obviously from the previous post it may not be the done thing. However if your not happy I would still call them and explain your disaproval and if you want to cancel, tell them. Good luck
PS. If your paying for a service and that service is not provided, you wouldnt continue to pay for such with anything else, why should broadband be any different ??? Just a thoughtNobody can make you feel inferior, without your permission
