I would check your source of information.

here is one of my pro duo cards with the adaptor, the full size memory sticks are the same size as the adaptor. the adptor is exactly the same size as a memory stick.

The produo is shorter ok we know that but it is also narrower only slightly but it isnt the same width, after all it has to fit in the adaptor.


Edge on they are thiner, almost double the thickness of a pro duo card, I stacked 2 and the 2 was slightly thicker.

As for only buying sony I wouldnt worry about it, I have used lexar and Sandisk cards in my camera and use sandisk ony in my PSP. just only buy them from a reputable company play or my memory as there are too many fakes about and fake cards usually have problems that result in data loss.
