Which is the cheapest to run the central heating, oil or LPG

The Carbon trust quotes figures as follows:
Gas oil 10.83 kwh/litre
Kerosene 10.28 kwh/litre
LPG 7.42 kwh/litre
Find out your local cost of different fuels and you should get a good idea of comparative costs (assuming boiler efficiencies are similar)0 -
oils gone up a lot, i'm on oil and it casts a lot of money now.
i would look at the price of lpg that may stay cheaper than oil0 -
I am working for a company who covers oil,gas and lpg.
Personally if i had the choice it would be oil everytime. Thats from someone who works on these appliances. Natural gas is obviously the cheapest and my 1st choice but this is not an optioon for you.
I would also class oil as the safer option of the two.0
