Posting to Canada

Might not be a problem but just in case here goes:
Do not post to Canada, do post to USA though.
Have an item for sale highest bid a zero buyer from Canada, they have been a member since May 2007.
I have heard that Canada is a nightmare to send to because of their customs people which is why I have not included them on my postage locations.
The questions are:- Should I advise this person that I do not send there.
Should I wait and see and then have a panic attack.
Does anyone know about sending items to Canada and if there are any problems.

Hi,
Personally I have never had any problems posting to Canada.
I do know you need to fill out a customs declaration which you can get from the PO, you also need to include your name and address on the package for it to get through customs.
I'm sure someone with more knowledge will be along soon with more advice.

The only real difference is that your return address must be on the top front of the envelope and not on the back. Don't know why, but that's what my PO told me.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Your return address label MUST be on the top lefthand side of the front of the package. If its not, they will return it to you.0

Posted a book to Canada last week - didn't do any of the above - got positive feedback saying arrived OK

Is this because it was sent as 'printed papers'?0 -
If you're overcautious with labelling there shouldn't be a problem, mark on the parcel and on official papers too.
I know as a visitor Canada customs are pretty strict, but I have sent stuff there without any problem..0 -
I regularly post to Canada and have had no problems so far. I always add a customs form and a return address and parcels usually arrive in approximately two weeks.*Official DMP Mutual Support Club Member No 147**Official DFW Nerd Club Member No 923*I have no idea what I'm talking about!0

Yes I also have had no problems and find it faster and more reliable sending to Canada than to the US. I also second the recommendation to put the return address on the top LH corner. I put the customs declaration on the front as well if there is space.0

No problems sending to Canada either, I have a friend there who is addicted to Jaffa Cakes."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

I had that, Canadian Post Office stuck a label below my returns label saying rejected due to no return address (despite there being one).
Took 2 more attempts to get it there.
Lots of US auctions say no Canadians..."Love you Dave Brooker! x"
"i sent a letter headded sales of god act 1979"0 -
the reason for the return label being on the front is to prevent posties from suffering from RSI turning packages over to check for returns label!
Books under 2kg do not require a customs label and can be sent at the slightly cheaper Printed Papers rate, but must be labeled as such in top left corner.
American ebayers probably don't permit postage to canada as their geography is so poor they think it's 'overseas'Do You Twitter?
