I often stay here Sparkleworld. Ten minutes walk from Kings Cross station. There are about six fast-food places opposite the hotel but they are all pretty average. A small cafe called "Costas" <not the chain>which you will pass on the way there is in my opinion the best in the area..........good food, friendly , very clean and reasonable prices. Pub opposite called (I think) the Carpenters is a good local and well worth patronising. Be a little wary but not paranoid about a few characters on the street outside who reside at a homeless persons hostel nearby. You have made a good choice."If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

Travelcard is an excellent idea but even better is to buy an oyster card."If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

You could get £19 rooms before 6am - I know for sure as I got 2 rooms for 3 nights at £19 each, last night (ie the night before they said it would start)
Anybody live near Hayle in Cornwall and can recommend some places to visit? I 'hayle' from Cornwall myself, but not that far down!0 -
I am trying to book the Wirral Eastham travelodge, on the web, it said 'hotel does not have a car park. Alternative parking is available free at Little chef in front of the hotel'.
Just wondering if anyone knows if i can park there overnight?
thanks in advance.0 -
Just booked a weekend in Norwich Central in April - no problem.
Went through Quidco and used my Capital one card for an extra 4% cashback as well to make it all just a tad cheaper.:D
Thanks OP for this one.
Parking there though costs nearly as much as the room!:mad:0 -

Yeah, i know.. but thy weren't the 'easter sale' as they were in orange (standard 18 day prior supersaver rooms) and not green...
Doesn't make any odds either way, £19 is £19. Just pointing out the 'sale' (green icons) DID start bang on 6am, as opposed to other posters claiming it had started early.0 -

Thats because it is next to a very expensive multistory with a bus station the otherside.
There isnt any free parking nearby most streets within walking distance are permit holders only.0
