Hey Duchy!
The news was brilliant thanks!
I GOT PROMO!!!!
After 2 years bloody sweat and tears...I'm now in a state of numb shock! Lol! Hasn't clicked yet, but I'm sure it will soon enough!
Got a 30% payrise, so my debts should definitely be paid off by this November if I stick to the plan!
It wasn't a NSD today (careful planning!), so I treated myself to a canteen lunch, and then picked up a cheeky snack before I got the train home tonight (still stuck to the free drinks at work though!)
Lunch - £4.50
Snack - £2.50
Total Tuesday Spend - £7.00
Back to the packed lunches tomorrow, but think there's going to be some heavy spending this weekend to celebrate (I know, I know...but I'm due this party so so very badly!)

Well done-just remember the aim is still to clear the debt so all that lovely payrise is YOURS and not going in intrest charges in the future.
Enjoy celebrating then back onto the straight and narrow

Well I almost slipped up today at work (not literally though!), was on auto-pilot and so picked up my loose change and headed down to the canteen for lunch...just as I was about to place my order I remembered I had my sandwiches in my bag!
I still gave in and bought a banana for 45p but I'm not going to beat myself up for trying to stay healthy NSD or no NSD :PLTSB CC: £7,027.05 :eek:Debt (at peak) on 19/07/08: £9,127.05

Ok so my first serious week at trying to save some cash, how did I fare?
Well today I did go and spend another £4.50 on lunch. But when looking back on the week, my general spend around the office has dropped considerably. I made 2 packed lunches, and avoided the canteen for coffees and snacks completely!
Total Weeks Spending: £23.90
That's not bad when you add on my £15 for food last weekend (giving us a total of £38.90), and the fact that my current budget allows for £80 all in (social, food, snacks etc) a week.
Only problem is that now that I've been promoted, I've got to go out and properly celebrate this weekend! I have budgeted for it again (so it was taken into account as a precaution when I gave my original DFD) so I don't expect any real issues!
A mate of mine also called to say he was keen to join me on my easter holiday to Rome, so that's halved my accommodation bills (I was forced into booking a room with two single beds even though I was going by myself!), something I had budgeted for in April and can now be reduced!
Will update signature in next few days once all my DD's have been moved around at the 1st of the month!
Have a great weekend everyone!LTSB CC: £7,027.05 :eek:Debt (at peak) on 19/07/08: £9,127.05

Just updated my sig with latest SOA!
Have to say I'm a little disappointed to only see my grand total reduced by a £100 or so, but I have got a few things in the pipeline that should see it decrease further over the month. For a start my new NSD's will hopefully see savings made on my weekly budget and that can go straight into my CC.
I've also sold a few books on Green Metropolis (yet to get the payments through though, despite having sent them off a week ago!), I've also sold some DVD's on ebay and I've got a load more to list (looking out for a cheap listing day as I spent £10 listing a load last week, and only 2 sold!!)
Went out to celebrate my promotion yesterday. Fortunately I had budgeted for the expenses and so I came in under budget which is a first! It did mean I didn't put as much as I should have into my CC but I fully deserved this!
With my new increased salary kicking in at the end of March, I'll be sticking £500 a month into my CC from now on which will definitely make my DFD that much more achievable! Biggest Threat? My week-long holiday in Rome next month!!LTSB CC: £7,027.05 :eek:Debt (at peak) on 19/07/08: £9,127.05
