I bought a digital piano (madeof plastic) and it was all smoky - took a fortnight for the smell to go, but it did go. Keep airing it is all I can say to help. i wouldn;t neg for it though.

My hubby often gets football shirts from ebay-I cant believe that people send out some of the smelly things he recieves ugh! Gets me when they fold it up & put it in a plastic bag to protect it & it reeks of BO or smoke when you open it! drives me mad...
Adandem- Bi carb is really good for getting rid of odours works brill on smelly trainers-but with a leather jacket its a funny one, I would try leaving it outside again that usually works on most things. If not I would be tempted to get it cleaned & hopefully that may help. good luck
  • I normally use Wizz (sp?) leather cleaner (comes in spray bottles from Pounldand) on leather jackets, and a damp cloth with a touch of ordinary clothes washing liquid on the lining, followed by outdoor airing if it still smells. I found it a time-consuming and unpleasant job to clean a smoky jacket though.
Professional leather cleaning is so expensive that I tend to assume secondhand leather items need cleaned unless otherwise stated, though I suppose the seller could have said something like "no stains but could benefit from a clean to freshen it". I'd give them a while to respond, and if they don't, leave neutral feedback if the jacket is otherwise satisfactory.
